David dies

One of the things about the concerto that really moved me the first time we read it was your use of color in the chamber orchestra. I had an idea what it was going to sound like, and then as we played the first rehearsal, it really was stunning. You have a very deft use of the orchestra.

El Diván del Tamarit in progress

After a years of seeking funding, my collaboration with James N. Kryshak is moving forward. I have completed a sketch for the first of 21 songs in an evening-length song cycle on Federico García Lorca’s last major book of poetry.

Doctor Faustus

I am very excited to be joining the UW-La Crosse production team, writing incidental music for the October 2023 production of Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus. This is my fourth time writing music for the stage, and looking forward to bringing a Gothic touch to this production.

Recital of music for voice and/or strings

I am currently in conversation with two singers and a string quartet about presenting a recital of my original work and some arrangements for voices alone, strings alone, or voice and string. This is part of a long-term project leading to a commercial CD of these piece, plus one projected work for mezzo and string quartet.
